Aims | The main aim of the course Methodology of Scientific Research is to acquaint students with operationalising research in sport, acquainting students with the methods of statistical analysis and their equipping with the knowledge of correct selection of methods and their use in empirical research. Aside from that, the aim of the course is to enable students to follow methodological and research literature in the area of sport and anthropological disciplines with understanding, and to critically assess the results of appropriate research. |
Learning outcomes | Having passed this course, the student will be able to: 1. Describe the role and purpose of methodology of kinesiological research; 2. Describe and apply different types of research in kinesiology; 3. Analyse and choose appropriate methodological procedures for producing the final work projects on different topics; 4. Practically know the systems of testing and measuring carried out with the goal of transforming motor and functional abilities and variable morphological dimensions; 5. Analyse and assess the basic statistical results in the area of methodology; 6. Know the statistical methods for data analysis. |
