In addition to the large International Maritime Science Conference held on April 11th and 12th, the next activity of the Maritime Faculty, as part of the six-decade-long celebration of its existence, is so far longest sailing of the school ship "Jadran", which is organized for students of this faculty.

After long-term and demanding preparations, this historic sailboat sailed away today with 35 students and 4 professors of the Maritime Faculty, as well as with the crew of the Navy Army of Montenegro.

Within the sailing, best students from the third year and selected students of second and first years from the departments Navigation, Shipbuilding, Maritime Electrical Engineering, and Maritime Sciences will have an opportunity to perform a set of practices both common and specific for their departments in sailing and ports.

Apart from the training on the ship, several-days visits to Istanbul and Athene are organized as the part of this interesting journey. Students will have an opportunity to get acquainted with important historical and cultural monuments of these destinations. Likewise, our students and professors will be hosted by the Naval Academy of the National Defense University and the Maritime Faculty of the Istanbul Technical University within one-day stay in Istanbul, in order to get introduced with maritime education institutions and practices in the Republic of Turkey.

Besides successful training and pleasant sojourns in these interesting and in every respect worth a visit, we wish them calm sea, nice time and happy return!
